At Hardt Advocaten, we do everything we can to make claiming compensation as easy as possible. Our approach is based on a personalized approach, guiding you step by step and keeping you fully informed of all developments in your case. At Hardt Advocaten, we have years of experience handling personal injury cases, enabling us to provide you with the best possible support and ensure you receive the compensation you are entitled to.

1. Intake interview

We'd be happy to invite you for an intake interview or visit you. During the intake interview, you'll share your story with us. We'll then assess your personal situation and assess potential damages.

2. Determination of liability

We hold the at-fault party liable for your damages. Even if the at-fault party in a traffic accident is unknown or uninsured, we may still be able to claim damages from another party.

3. Calculation of your compensation

If liability is acknowledged, we will collect medical information from your healthcare providers to gather evidence regarding your medical condition. We will also substantiate all claims for damages on your behalf.

We correspond with the other party and keep you informed of the progress. We ensure that you receive an advance payment from the other party.

4. Negotiations and settlement of your case

Once your medical situation has stabilized, we will, after consulting with you, handle your claim. After a thorough analysis of your claim, we will submit a settlement proposal on your behalf and then conduct the necessary negotiations with the insurance company. These steps usually result in an agreement.

Hardt Advocaten does not receive third-party funds as defined in the Dutch Bar Association Regulations. We are therefore exempt from the requirement to maintain a third-party funds foundation. Under no circumstances will we receive third-party funds in our office account.

Funds paid on your behalf as a client will be transferred directly to you by the liable party, excluding extrajudicial costs as defined in Article 6:96 paragraph 2 of the Dutch Civil Code.

If we are nevertheless confronted with third-party funds, we will ensure that the funds are either transferred directly to the rightful claimant in accordance with Article 6.19, paragraph 1, of the Legal Profession Regulations, or we will join a third-party funds foundation (and have the funds routed through this foundation). All rules regarding third-party funds then apply.

Our personal injury lawyers and attorneys are dedicated to supporting you throughout the personal injury process, allowing you to focus on your recovery. We assess your damages, calculate and substantiate your claim, and maintain contact with the opposing party. We keep you informed of all developments and, if necessary, visit you.

We assist our clients in claiming their compensation completely free of charge. Therefore, you will not receive any invoices from us. We submit our costs to the insurer of the liable party.
